Industry-Specific Associations
- There are many benefits in joining industry associations. As a member, you will be able to:

- work together with others in your industry to combine your various strengths and raise your profile
- learn of new opportunities to participate in projects
- identify potential partners for new ventures
- You should not let the fear of meeting potential competitors keep you from joining industry associations.
General Business Associations
- General business associations provide you with the opportunity to meet people outside your industry.
- These associations are usually grouped by areas of interest. For instance, the Singapore Business Federation is a cross-industry association that focuses on helping businesses grow, especially in overseas markets
- So if you are thinking of entering a particular market, it might be fruitful to join these associations.
